Sending Hugs-Lori Whitlock

Welcome to Lori's Blog! The place for inspiration and tutorials for her amazing files that she creates so generously for us to use.  Today I have an encouragement/feel better card for a friend.  I used the Shaped Box Card Teapot file and the Center Box Card Envelope file.

For papers, I used Echo Park's Celebrate Easter and Celebrate Spring Collections. As an afterthought I should have coordinated my floral patterns!  :)

I chose to use pearls in my flower centers instead of the little dots of paper included with the file.   It is nice to add dimensional elements to your cuts. These card go together pretty quickly.

I decided to emboss the scallop pieces to resemble enamel using Versa-mark and white embossing powder and heat. It gives a nice, shiny appearance.

And the finished card folds flat for mailing!

Now to just throw in a few teabags and mail it off!  Have a wonderful day!

Hello Birthday Girl Poppystamps

Welcome to the Poppystamps Blog! I hope to provide you with some inspiration using dies, stencil and glimmer paste. I have used several Poppystamps dies to create this one of a kind card. Today I have a Very Special card that I have made for my Mother  for her 79th Birthday, she has Dementia and I am her Caregiver Daizypoppy
First I created my background panel, using a stitched oval Memory Box CO die and a Memory Box stencil (diapers) to push the Nuvo Glimmer paste through. I used a Purple shade. Allow some dry time before removing the stencil, however do not let it dry completely.

IMG_3020Oval stencil on a 4.25 x 5.5 panel for stencil mask. Then add the stencil and line up with another panel of the same size, you will cut it down to 3.75 x 5 after it's done and dried.

IMG_5019Spread the Nuvo Glimmer Paste through the stencil with a spatula, allow to semi dry and remove stencil before it drys completely.

I used pop dots behind the daisies for dimension. Glitter Glue to flower centers.

Most Amazing Mom- Poppystamps New Release Blitz!

Happy Mother's Day! Welcome to another week of Fabulous inspiration of this beautiful release! I just LOVE Poppies and Fairies!
Poppy with fairy
I went for the traditional poppy color since it is my home states flower. I combined sponging and splatter along with twine and dimension for depth. I purposely offset the white panel for interest. I used some washing tape as my title. I like making this artsy feeling card. I hope you enjoy it.

As you can see I am a bit of a messy designer..but sometimes that is the fun of it.

Make a wish Poppystamps

Good Morning Poppystamp fans! Spring is finally showing up here in California and so the Dandelions are too! I remember as a kid picking these and making a wish and blowing them. That was my inspiration for this card. Could be Birthday, encouragement of cheer.

I used memory Box Stitched ovals to create a frame for my shiny silver dandelions. By mounting the panels with foam tape it gives the card that added depth and fun!
Placing the two dies on the panel with a post it cut then flip and lace your foam squares for easy attachment to your card base.

I hope you will give this a try!

Big Things & Small Packages- Lori Whitlock

Welcome friends! Today I am sharing the adorable little Gable Box with Bow.There are only 5 pieces in this file. Two of them for the bow.

I made this box to fill with candies for my Mom. She has Dementia and a lot of the time is depressed. She loves to have little candies around  so this was the perfect little box for just that. These would make great little party favor boxes too! It was super easy and quick. Especially using Lori's Papers by Echo Park. This pattern is from the Spring Collection.

The Ephemra is Echo Park Spring Collection too

Files I used are:
